WELCOME TO the web site for the SOCIETY FOR the ARTS (SFA) Founded in May of 1986, the Society for the Arts (SFA) provides a focal point for the single professional interested in supporting the arts community. Fund raising events (social, educational, and cultural), which appeal directly to the single professional provide an environment in which the individual can directly impact the arts. SFA is a non-profit, fund raising organization operating in accordance with IRS 501(c) (3) rules. Since 1986 SFA has donated many thousands of dollars along with hundreds of hours of volunteer efforts. Fundraising events range from member-only gatherings to more formal, publicly-announced galas. Each event promotes comfortable and stimulating social interaction among single professionals. Cultural and arts groups supported by SFA often give special consideration to SFA members for their public events. Group attendance at these events provides opportunities to develop intellectual and social relationships. Friendships and networking are among the many benefits of membership. The SFA Arts Endowment Fund provides scholarships and support for students engaged in art activities. SFA membership adds dimension to the arts community. SFA activities bring quality individuals together in a unique social environment. Mission Statement The mission of SFA is to raise money to benefit arts and cultural groups in the Phoenix area: members contribute to the arts while socializing and networking with other single professionals. |
